second one for the "weird, i thought it was waterproof" challange.
this one was a failure as an illustration cause there was too much info for me to fit in a single frame so its not understandable. (story in short: military develops billion dollar marine bot that malfunctions at first contact with water. the scientist guy goes to check the bot data while the admiral is having a nervous-brake-down or something)
that said, i think the pic itself has potential. i like the depth and composition of it which is something that my works usually lack.
maybe one day when im more experienced i'll try to remake it.

Actually, while it did take me a second to figure it out, I did actually see what was happening without looking at your description.

In addition, I think it's a very good drawing. I particularly like the scientist.

i like this piece i did get the story if i looked at it for a few minutes the foreground works really well the general and the scientist look great and they create the tension but the robot looks to relaxed for anything to have gone wrong it looks like its having a sleep which i feel kills the tension created by the foreground. and those three seagull just siting on it just add to the sleeping thing

i have two suggestions as ways you could show the robot the first one being the easiest keeping the robot the way it is but add some black/grey smoke coming from it n some sparks because the electrics have got wet cause its not waterproof n those two seagull sitting would be good if they where replaced by two legs as if the machine had gone a bit crazy n grabbed someone n they where left there hanging

or my second suggestion is basically all of the above but change the position of the robot and add some line of movement like jerky movement or doing something out of control while looking like its breaking if u get me

i hope this helps

yea the robot was the weak link here. ur suggestions are very good (especially the sparks! i forgot u could convey electricity like that) although the bloody feet are a bit too much i think. charred seagulls sounds better to me ;p

anyways, i dont really feel like remaking the pic at this point but i will one day and i'll definitely make the bot more... "distressed" :)

thanks for taking the time to write this my dear. getting feedback is the best way to improve.
